Introduction
Blockchain Bandicoot is a Web3 brand that aims to be more than an NFT. The collection is built to take NFTs to the next level through motion comics. Initially, 5.5 Minute Motion Comic episodes were launched through YouTube, animated with SFX, and professionally scored. So far, its trailer has over 115K views. They are dedicated to delivering a fun and well-rounded experience for their NFT hodlers. In this case study, we present how Blockchain Bandicoots used PERCS’ NFT gating app for a limited redemption campaign for NFT users to increase engagement.
The Challenge
Blockchain Bandicoot, a story-telling NFT collection, will host 12 months of crypto prizes and competitive match-game that token holders race to collect called Element Challenges. To launch their first utility, Blockchain Bandicoot wanted to issue physical comic book redemption for their holders through a streamlined tokengating experience.
The Solution
Rather than utilizing their development expertise on solidity to deliver for web2, Armen and the team decided to use Shopify to set up this campaign and PERCS’ tokengating application to support physical redemption and fulfillment of the comic book. This allowed the web3 brand to focus and build on its roadmap and immediately activate the promises it wanted to deliver. Blockchain Bandicoots developed a tiered system that integrates with the PERCS tokengating platform. The redemption was designed to be educational and interactive, teaching users about blockchain technology while expanding use cases for tokengating. Users would earn rewards and points by completing elemental challenges and holding various NFTs, which can redeem other incentives on the PERCS platform and their Shopify store.
The Outcome
The integration of the Blockchain Bandicoot store into PERCS was a success. Users responded positively to the redemption of a physical comic book, and engagement with the collection continue to be incremental. The game provided an educational experience for the users, teaching them about blockchain technology and its applications, which was appreciated by the users. Additionally, users were motivated to complete the challenges to earn rewards.
Conclusion
The collaboration between Blockchain Bandicoots and PERCS was a successful one. The Blockchain Bandicoot team are able to fulfill stages of its roadmap by providing a unique tokengating experience for its users. The integration of the physical comic with the NFT collection helped increase user engagement and also provided a phygital experience for the users. This collaboration is an excellent example of how two companies from different industries can work together to create a mutually beneficial partnership.
